Services Trade Exhibition (ARBS) 2010
Kleen Sales & Services again had a very successful ARBS 2010.Planning started some 12 months ago and for the statistically minded , stand 326 was 12m x 9 m featuring around 1/2 a milion dollars worth of equipment.
Our representatives this year were President of Mestek Corporation, VP of International Sales, President of Formtek Beijing, Marketing Representative from Mestek US and their wives and last but not least VP of Mechanical Data along with representatives from Kleen Ian McGrath, Greg Barling and Nathan Livermore.
Everything had been planned to the minute and as usual something always goes wrong despite assurances to the contrary and although we were a bit behind and all didn’t go to plan by 10am Monday we were finally ready.We had no real idea of how this show would go with the uncertainty in the construction sector and a very patchy marketplace. We had extensively advertised and it was now crunch time.
The Customers came with their individual interpretations of the market, talked with the US and Chinese representatives and inspected our equipment. ARBS 2010 was again a winner for Kleen and the ducting manufacturers of Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the South Pacific region.
For the first time we had Mr Bruce Dewey President of Mestek Corporation and he really enjoyed the Aussie hospitality and capped the visit off with a Sydney Harbour Bridge climb.Other newcomers were Mr Bob Evans, VP of Int. Sales and his wife Heather. Mr Max Li, VP of Formtek Beijing and his wife Wella.
As in past years we were again supported by David Daw of Mestek US and his wife Ming, Dave Ashton President Gripnail Corp., along with Vicky Nixon Int Sales Mechanical Data. Aussie girl Fiona Bastion (born and bred in Sydney) kept all the girls busy except for Vicky who had work to do with us boys.
Thanks to everybody for their contributions during this hectic week. We achieved a lot, learned a bit and definitely enjoyed ourselves. Thanks to all of our Customers who attended, you make this show a winner and it’s a good time for us to catch up.
